Chicken and Yogurt Gyro Wraps
A perfect combination of lightly spiced fried chicken, fresh vegetable salsa and lemon yogurt dressing. Juicy, creamy, savory and delicious home-made wraps.

Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts, boneless
- 2 sachets Knorr Chicken Seasoning Powder
- 4 pita breads
- 1 B onion, sliced
- 1 green cucumber, diced
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- Handful of parsley
- 1 lemon, juice
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon pepper powder
- ½ teaspoon turmeric
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup plain yoghurt
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
METHOD
- In a bowl, mix the Knorr Seasoning Powder, chili powder, pepper powder, turmeric and oregano. Mix well and set aside.
- Cut chicken breast into medium size strips and season with the above mix.
- Heat a frying pan, add the olive oil and fry the marinated chicken till done and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, mix the onion, tomato, cucumber, crushed garlic, parsley and half of the lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper and set aside.
- In another bowl, whisk the yogurt, rest of the lemon juice, vinegar and a teaspoon of the Knorr Chicken Seasoning Mix.
- Arrange a portion of the salad mixture on a pita bread and place a few chicken strips. Pour a few teaspoons on the yogurt dressing and wrap securely. Serve immediately.
