Massaman Chicken Curry

Thai inspired dish. Delicious chunks of chicken in a creamy coconut curry boasting bold spices, flavours, colour and taste.

  • 250g chicken, cut in to medium cubes
  • 1 packet, Knorr Nasi Mix
  • 1 Knorr Chicken Cube
  • 1 tablespoon Astra
  • ½ onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 stalk lemongrass, sliced
  • 1 cup thick coconut milk
  • 1 lime, juiced Lime juice of
  • 1 tablespoon shrimp paste
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • Salt to taste


  • Melt Astra in a pan. Add onion, ginger and lemongrass. Sauté till fragrant.
  • Add the chicken, Knorr Nasi Mix, Knorr Chicken Cube, chili powder, shrimp paste and thick coconut milk. Cook on low heat till chicken is tender and gravy is thick.
  • Finally add the lime juice and season to taste with salt. Remove from heat and serve hot.
  • Chef’s Tip:

    To make the gravy extra thick and to enhance the flavor, add 50g of pureed cashew or peanut paste.
