Devilled Cuttlefish

Lightly fried cuttlefish in a flavourful spicy sauce with fresh chilies and tomato. Simply irresistible.

  • 500g cuttlefish
  • 1 packet Devilled Mix Pack
  • 1 onion, wedges
  • 1 tomato, wedges
  • 2 capsicums, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • ½ chopped green chili
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • ½ inch piece ginger, chopped Ginger
  • 2 inch piece pandan leaf
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon salt


  • In a pan, add coconut oil. Next add garlic, ginger, pandan leaf and green chili. Sauté till fragrant. Then, add the cuttlefish and fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add sugar, water and Knorr Devilled Mix pack. Stir well.
  • Now, add the onion, capsicum and stir well till the sauce thickens. Finally add the tomato and take off from heat. Serve hot.
  • Chef’s Tip:

    Use a sharp knife to make thin diagonal cuts on one side of the cuttle fish without cutting all the way through. This will make it look like flowers when they fry up.
