Biryani Mix
A one-pot dish, boasting the most delectable flavors, made with basmati rice, chicken, fresh spices and herbs.

Ingredients
- Chicken - 300g
- Rice 500g
- Onions– 2 no’s
- Tomato – 4 no’s
- Garlic – 4 cloves
- Ginger – 1 tsp
- Green chili – 2
- Curry leaves – 1 sprig
- Piece of Pandan leaves
- A handful of Coriander leaves
- Piece of Cinnamon
- Red chili powder – 1 tsp
- Coconut oil – 3 tbsp
- Ghee - 1 1/2 tbsp
- Knorr Biryani mix – 1 pack
- Salt to taste
- 5 cups of water
METHOD
- 1 - Marinate chicken with Knorr Biryani Mix pack, Chili powder and half a cup of water.
- 2 - Heat oil and Ghee, add garlic, ginger, curry leaves, pandan leaves, green chilies, cinnamon and sauté till fragrant.
- 3 - Add sliced onions, tomato, sauté till oil separates, add marinated chicken and sauté further.
- 4 - Add rice, salt, water and cook well. Sprinkle chopped coriander and fried onion.
- Close the lid for few minutes and serve hot.
Chef's Tip:
Fried onion can be sprinkled for garnishing but can add more flavor if added when cooking.
