Chicken and Yogurt Gyro Wraps

A perfect combination of lightly spiced fried chicken, fresh vegetable salsa and lemon yogurt dressing. Juicy, creamy, savory and delicious home-made wraps.

  • 2 chicken breasts, boneless
  • 2 sachets Knorr Chicken Seasoning Powder
  • 4 pita breads
  • 1 B onion, sliced
  • 1 green cucumber, diced
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • Handful of parsley
  • 1 lemon, juice
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon pepper powder
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup plain yoghurt
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  • In a bowl, mix the Knorr Seasoning Powder, chili powder, pepper powder, turmeric and oregano. Mix well and set aside.
  • Cut chicken breast into medium size strips and season with the above mix.
  • Heat a frying pan, add the olive oil and fry the marinated chicken till done and set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the onion, tomato, cucumber, crushed garlic, parsley and half of the lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper and set aside.
  • In another bowl, whisk the yogurt, rest of the lemon juice, vinegar and a teaspoon of the Knorr Chicken Seasoning Mix.
  • Arrange a portion of the salad mixture on a pita bread and place a few chicken strips. Pour a few teaspoons on the yogurt dressing and wrap securely. Serve immediately.
