Dhal and spinach soup

This hearty lentil soup features the wholesome goodness of spinach. The Knorr Chicken cube gives a fantastic flavour to this delicious, easy to make soup.

  • 100g dhal
  • 2 Knorr Chicken Cubes
  • 200g spinach
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 litre water
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  • Put the dhal, onion, garlic and water into a pot. When the dhal begins to boil, add the spinach and the Knorr Chicken Cube. Cook for a further 2 minutes, take off the heat and allow let it cool.
  • Blend the above mixture to make a puree. Return to the pot, bring to boil, and season with salt and pepper. Serve hot.
  • Chef’s Tip:

    Before you take the pot off stove, add a bit of fresh cream to get a creamier consistency and added flavour.
