Fish Chilithiyal

A unique twist to a traditional recipe, tuna and tamarind and chili combine to create an explosion of taste.

  • 350g of Tuna fish
  • 1 pkt of Knorr Chinese chili recipe mix
  • 1 chopped small onion
  • 2 cloves of chopped Garlic
  • 1 tbsp of Crushed pepper
  • 1 tsp of Turmeric powder
  • 300ml of Water
  • 1 tbsp of Tamarind paste
  • Salt to taste


  • Mix all the ingredients together in a pot. Cook on medium heat until water evaporates and the gravy coats the fish.
  • Season to taste and serve hot as an aromatic side dish for your avurudu lunch table.
  • Chef’s Tip:

    Cut fish in uniform sizes for even cooking.
