Fish Moju

This appetizing fish pickle is a great side dish to be enjoyed as part of your Avrudu lunch extravaganza. Taste an assortment of sensations of tangy, salty, sweet and spicy, in one exciting bite.

Ingredients

  • 500g tuna
  • 2 sachets, Knorr Chicken Seasoning Powder
  • 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
  • 50g green chili
  • 100g shallots
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 100ml vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • I tablespoon pepper powder
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • Oil for frying

METHOD

  • Cut fish into thin strips or pieces. Mix in the Knorr Chicken Seasoning Powder, chili powder, turmeric, pepper powder and lime juice. Let it rest for 10 minutes and fry in hot oil till golden and set aside.
  • Add all the other ingredients into a bowl and mix well. Add the fish and toss to coat.
  • Chef’s Tip:

    You can use deep fried chicken (marinated with Knorr Chicken Seasoning Powder or Knorr Chicken Cube) as a substitute for fish.
