Crispy dhal and gotukola rice

Ingredients

  • 100g dhal
  • 400g cooked rice
  • 200g gotukola
  • 1 Knorr Chicken Cube
  • 20g Astra
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chili flakes
  • Rampe and curry leaves

METHOD

  • Melt Astra in a pan. Then, add the dhal and fry till golden, on a very low flame.
  • Add the onion, rampe and curry leaves and sauté for a few seconds. Then, add the chili flakes, gotukola and the Knorr Chicken Cube.
  • Mix in the cooked rice and combine well. Serve hot.
  • Chef’s Tip:

    Instead of the gotukola, spinach, mukunuwenna or any such green leaf can be used.
